Covides presents Coopera, a unique project for rural entrepreneurship

Last Thursday, February 11, the presentation of the unique rural entrepreneurship project Coopera took place, respecting all the prevention measures for COVID19.

Coopera is a pioneering project designed to revitalize the primary sector at local and regional level, protecting the territorial roots through economic viability.

The services offered involve an agricultural relief program designed applying criteria of social and solidarity economy, territorial cohesion, as well as the insertion of highly vulnerable groups. The aim is to generate added value in rural territories and environments, giving direct labor opportunities to specific groups, dignifying a highly precarious primary sector, although its strategic value is essential and irreplaceable.

The presentation was attended by Ariadna Rectoret, director of the Public Employment Service of Catalonia and Josep Vidal, general director of Social Economy, Third Sector and Cooperatives.
